Paula Maxine Patton is an American actress. She is set to portray an unknown villian on Starz's The Rook.[1]

Biography[]

Patton was born on December 5, 1975 in Los Angeles, California to school teacher, Joyce (née Vanraden) Patton and lawyer, Charles Patton. Her mother is European-American while her father is African-American. After graduating from Alexander Hamilton High School, she enrolled at University of California, Berkeley, before transferring to University of Southern California's Film School less than a year later. She won a three-month assignment making documentaries for PBS shortly after completing her studies.

She got married to American singer, songwriter and record producer Robin Thicke in 2005. They later had a son, Julian Fuego, born on April 7, 2010. The marriage lasted for ten years, before they got divorced in 2015.

Patton has also done a bit of singing. She provided additional vocals for Usher on his 2004 album Confessions, along with providing the vocals on the song Can U Handle It?, co-written by Robin Thicke.

Patton made her film debut as Mandy in the 2005 romantic comedy film Hitch, starring Will Smith and Eva Mendes. She is best known for her work on Déjà Vu, Swing Vote, and Single Ladies.
